How does your Synclara Cough System differ from your Volara™ System?
keyboard_arrow_downOur Volara System expands your lungs and helps to move mucus from your lungs and small airways into to your upper airways, making it easier to cough or suction out. The Synclara Cough System mechanically simulates a cough for you, to help you expel mucus if you have difficulty coughing on your own. -
How will I learn how to use the Synclara Cough System?
keyboard_arrow_downWe'll will work closely with you and your healthcare team to schedule a training session in your home with a licensed Hillrom professional. You'll learn how to set up the device and how to run your prescribed therapy.

How often will I receive cough simulation therapy?
keyboard_arrow_downYour healthcare provider will advise you how often you should take it. Cough simulation therapy is typically taken twice a day, but your physician may wish to tailor your regimen to fit your particular needs. -
Can I travel with this device?

How long will the patient circuits last?
keyboard_arrow_downEach patient circuit is designed to last for approximately 90 therapy sessions. -
What are Hillrom's cleaning recommendations for my Synclara Cough System?
keyboard_arrow_downWe recommend that: • After each therapy session, you should clean your patient circuit (comprising the tubing, handset and interface) with warm, soapy water. • Once a week, you should wash the filter that is located on the back of the control unit in warm, soapy water. Allow it to thoroughly dry before you return it to the device. • You should NOT clean the SmartFilter (located between the control unit and the tubing).
